About Us

Come in. Sit down. There's enough.

Our name comes from Calicut — Kozhikode, on the Malabar Coast — the spice port where the world traded pepper and cardamom for more than five hundred years. History remembers it for a surprising reason. Calicut wasn't the richest port; it was the most welcoming one. Merchants chose it over every rival harbor because of how they were treated when they arrived. That's the whole of Calicutts, sitting inside a name five centuries old: not we import precious things, but we are the table where you're welcome.

Most of the food world sells from the same corner — you should cook more, entertain better, feed them properly, make it look nicer. We think you've been sold enough shame for one lifetime. Calicutts sells from the other end: belonging. It's already sacred; you don't have to earn the good dishes or the lit candle.

What we make is small on purpose — a five-minute ritual at the stove that belongs entirely to you. The smell of garlic in butter, salt between your fingers, a candle lit for no occasion at all. Real food and real flavor: butter, salt, lemon, herbs, slow heat. Nothing "low," "lite," or "free-from." No countdown timers, no last chance — patina over polish, always. We call it Dinner Made Flavorful, and the promise under every jar is simpler still: if you can open a jar, you can come home to yourself — one Tuesday dinner at a time.

A jar is an invitation, not a fix — made to be reached for again tomorrow, a practice rather than a purchase. And because a table is better full, we set one. It's why we opened The Pantry, why we lay a Long Table a few times a year, and why our favorite instruction in the whole brand is set one more place. Feeding people is how a house becomes a home, and how an ordinary Tuesday becomes something that counts.

So here's the whole of it: come in, sit down, there's enough. However you cook, whoever's at your table — you're welcome here.

We had bought the Fire Salt and to be honest we use it on everything. I came back today to order more and try an additional 4 flavors.
